Why fidget?

I just don't get it, why does everyone seem to like fidget? =s
It's just always the same effect i think, a wobbly bassline... /s
It's like its alway the same that you listen =p
One of the few artists i like is jack beats in this genre!
anyone else thinks this way?

I don't get it either, there are way better styles, and fidget is way overhyped, I just don't see what the big deal is..

Exactly, I dont like the hype, but I like the genre, but not to fill a whole dj set with... I like to vary in different styles of electronic.
Its very weird, some of my friends really adore it, and some of them hate fidget.
I like fidget, I adore the wobbly bassline but I think my true love is still the original hard electro!

I totally follow your opinion =D a set must have more than only 1 genre!

we usually play some fidget in our sets, but not too much, 2h of the same style is just too much.

Fidget is the least original electrotaste. The sounds are quite cool however and that's what keeps the kids dancing. But I guess the hype is almost over, as there are too many bad copycats around. I liked it more when there were only a few quality producers and you could use the tracks to fill up some boring parts in your set. 2009 will probably be the return to the older styles: house, electro and maybe trance. Nu disco will break loos too
